How to Arrive

Hotel Pian del Sole is only realistically and highly advisedly accessible by car or motorcycle. It sits in a beautiful rural area of Liguria, about 2 km outside the village of Sassello-within the forested hills of Beigua Natural Park. Private vehicles are not just recommended for your stay at this hotel but are also required to explore the region from mountain to sea! This is made easy thanks to free private parking right on-site at the hotel.

International travelers find it most convenient to fly into Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA) and then drive for about an hour or a little less on a very pretty ride from the sea coast up into the hills. Of course, logically speaking, getting a car right at the airport makes sense.

This place is not easily accessible by public transport, hence not advisable for tourists. A train from Genoa to any nearby coastal city-Albisola or Savona-will then be followed by an infrequent local bus service (TPL Linea) which will take you on a winding journey up to Sassello. The stop in the village of Sassello will still entail a very long uphill walk to the hotel; therefore, this route is quite impractical-and even worse if one has luggage.
